Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance. Functional medicine is highly personalized and focuses on root-cause healing, which often goes beyond the limitations of insurance-based care. By operating outside the insurance model, I can dedicate more time to in-depth assessments, individualized treatment plans, and comprehensive support—all without the restrictions of standard coverage. This approach allows me to prioritize your long-term health and well-being without compromise.

Can I book an in-person appointment?

At this time, all of my appointments are conducted via telehealth using a HIPAA-compliant platform.

Can I just use the labs from my last doctor’s appointment?

I generally recommend that people get new blood work for their initial consultation. The lab panel I order is more comprehensive than what most people get from their primary care provider and allows me to develop a solid, baseline understanding of your current health. This panel also includes a urinalysis.

Do you run any other labs?

Yes, but strategically. Blood chemistry is the most validated lab test, providing key insights into inflammation, immune health, nutrient status, and metabolic function. It serves as the foundation for most assessments. In some cases, I may test for additional blood chemistry markers based on the results of your initial panel. When needed, I also run microbiome or genetic tests. I only recommend additional testing when it adds real value to your health journey.
